Youse are invited into deep South Philly to celebrate the 21st birthday of Francis Geminiani while he visits his family home on summer vacation from Harvard. Nextdoor neighbor Bunny Weinberger and her son Herschel will be there, in addition to surprise guests from Francis’ school. Watch drama unfold as these two different worlds collide! Written as a conflicted love letter to his home city, playwright (and Central High Class 224 graduate) Albert Innaurato's rambunctious comedy would become the longest running, non-musical show in Broadway history!

Set in 1920, in working-class North Philadelphia, this comedy tracks a family thrown into chaos by their daughter’s suitor, a pseudo-socialist buffoon. Show Off became a theatrical sensation as one of the first plays to depict the new American middle class. The show was a “monster hit” playing for 571 performances. The playwright’s teenaged niece, Grace Kelly, made her stage debut in the show’s premiere.

The Wondrous World of Opera: Finding Your Voice
The Wondrous World of Opera: Finding Your Voice (WWO) is dedicated to bringing opera, musical theater, and art song to children. The show runs approximately 45 minutes and includes: Pre-Show Discovery Time, Introduction to Song group activities, Performances by ePOP (with opportunities for children to join in), and a Post-Show Q&A.
WWO is not your typical performance where everyone is expected to sit and hold still; children are encouraged to engage, interact, and respond. ePOP creates a fun, engaging experience for young audiences, introducing children to the magic of live performance and the joy of attending a show from an early age.

The nonprofit, volunteer-run PHILADELPHIA UNNAMED FILM FESTIVAL (PUFF) is celebrating ten years with a fresh new look and lineup. Known for bringing some of the freshest and strangest projects from all around the world each year to Philly audiences, “PUFFX” will run from October 1st through October 5th at THEATRE EXILE (1340 S 13th St). Also returning for the second year in a row will be the Filmmakers Meetup – where indie filmmakers of all backgrounds in the region are invited and encouraged to mingle and network.
It’s 1970, and runaway Jonah Goodson is confined at California’s notorious Atascadero Psychiatric Hospital. His “sickness?" Homosexuality. Navigating a psychotropic maze of barbaric treatments, he encounters the most unlikely guides – but are they real or imagined?

Join White Box Theatre and Sebastienne Mundheim for the Philadelphia premiere of Kea and the Ark. Through electric cello, dance, puppetry, and storytelling, Mundheim and her collaborators: Harlee Trautman, Kennedy Candra, Payton Smith, and Daniel de Jesus, share the story of Kea Tawana – a self-taught engineer/artist who built an 86-foot long, three-story tall ark in Newark’s Central Ward. College hook-ups, female friendship, football, and a medieval saint who cuts off her nose to spite a pack of rapacious vikings. A ferocious satire, Nosejob asks, how do we reckon with the messy sexcapades of our past? What do we owe to the legacy of women who suffered so that we might flourish? And, are the vikings kind of hot?
