Cast

Sam Henderson (KJ) Sam Henderson quit acting in 2005 to be a rock star, then quit being a rock star in 2011 to be an actor.  He'll be acting at the Lantern and the Wilma this season, as well as in his own bizarre Fringe show called Fun Thing.  He lives in South Philly with his wife and son, and right around the time you read this he'll have a new daughter as well.  He feels tired just writing this.

Jeb Kreager (Jasper) Jeb is a founding member of the Obie Award-winning New Paradise Laboratories, and will co-create and appear in Freedon Club: Parts I and II in NYC, Philadelphia, and Princeton, in 2009 and 2010. Jeb’s recent stage work includes Scandalous Peaople  (Fringe NYC), Mr. Marmalade (Theatre Exile; Barrymore nominated), PICASSO AT THE LAPIN AGILE (Delaware Theatre Co.), Recent Tragic Events  (1812 Productions; Barrymore nominated), The BFG (Arden), and The Foreigner  (People's Light; Barrymore nominated), Chad Diety (InterAct) and Frozen (InterAct 2008 Best Lead Actor Barrymore Award )among others. His television and film credits include Law And Order:SVU (NBC), “Hack” (CBS), “Z Rock” (IFC), Animal Husbandry (directed by A.R. McElhinney), Flogging Margaret (Warner Bros.), and the festival shorts The Prescotts and Felix Melman.  Jeb is a graduate of Virginia Tech and attended Antonio Fava's Scuola Internazionale dell'Attore Comico (Reggio Emilia, Italy), and Circle in the Square (NYC).

Aubie Merrylees (Evan) Aubie is excited to make his Exile debut! He was last seen in Slip/Shot, part of PlayPenn’s New Play Development Conference - but The Aliens marks Aubie’s first full production in Philadelphia, and he couldn‘t wish for a better group of people to oversee his initiation. He is a graduate of Brown University, where he studied religion and theatre and wrote and performed his own original solo show, Feet First. Aubie has worked extensively at People’s Light in Malvern; recent performances include Kidnapped! (David), One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Billy Bibbit), and End Days (Nelson). He has also appeared in a number of independent films, including the upcoming Inkubus, starring Robert Englund and William Forsythe. Thanks to Matt for the opportunity.

Matt Pfeiffer (Director) Matt is the Associate Artistic Director of Theatre Exile where he's directed Barrymore nominated productions of Shining CIty, American Buffalo, Glengarry Glen Ross, Bug and most recently The Lieutenant of Inismore.  Other credits include; Arden Theatre ( Romeo and Juliet, A Moon for the Misgotten, Go Dog Go!), Walnut Street Theatre (An Infinite Ache), Two River Theatre (Charlotte's Web, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown), Orlando Shakespeare Theatre (Wittenberg), Lantern Theatre (The Foocy), 1812 Productions (Beautiful Boy), Flashpoint Theatre (Run, Mourner, Run), Brat Productions (Popsical's Departure), and 14 seasons with the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. Matt is a 5-time Barrymore Nominee and recipient of the F. Otto Haas Award for an Emerging Theatre Artist

Michael Kiley (Sound Designer) Michael Kiley is a Philadelphia based sound designer, composer, performer and voice teacher.  He has collaborated with a diverse collection of dance and theatre companies, including SubCircle, 1812 Productions, The National Constitution Center, Flashpoint Theater, Brat Productions and Nichole Canuso Dance Company, of which he is a company member.  Michael is also the founder of The Mural & The Mint, a free music project dedicated to experimental recordings and performances, which can be found at www.themuralandthemint.com.  He is a recipient of the 2012 Live Arts Brewery Fellowship, and a graduate of Artists U, a program for enriching the sustainability of artist's lives.  This is his fifth show with Theatre Exile.

Julia Poiesz (Costume Designer) Julia is thrilled to be working with Theatre Exile.  Previous design credits include Speaking in Tongues and Red, White and Tuna (Wanlut St. Theatre), Dear Edwina (Mazeppa Productions), Dead Man’s Cell Phone (St. Joseph’s University).  Julia also designs regularly for Upper Darby Performing Arts Center.  She has a B.A. in Theatre from Desales University.  She would like to thank Pfeiff for this opportunity and Mike for his love and support. 

Avista Custom (Properties) Avista is a full-service prop design and construction firm as well, managing props for small local theatre companies and doing custom pieces. Avista Custom Theatrical Services, LLC was founded in 2007 by Jennifer Burkhart, Amanda Hatch, and Travis Whitaker as a properties design firm.  Avista Custom is the Philadelphia area’s largest and most diverse theatrical prop rental house.  Avista also has a large lighting rental stock to choose from.  In 2008 Avista acquired the prop and lighting inventories of former rental house, Prop Shop.

Anastasia Anthony (Stage Manager) Anastasia is beginning her third season with Theatre Exile.  Anastasia has recently worked on Saturn Returns (SM),  Lt. of Inishmore (ASM), That Pretty Pretty or The Rape Play (SM), IRON (SM), and Shinning City (ASM).  She has a BFA in Theater Management and Production from The University of the Arts.  Anastasia would like to thank Theatre Exile for their patience and guidance.  She would like to thank both her Virginia family and her Philadelphia family for their constant love and support.
